We left early for The Hague.Tak puasa while on musafir but sempat sehari puasa ikut time Mekah at The Hague. Sejuk and my leg cramps got worse. Besoknya ada kedai Cina dekat apt Z so lucky could walk in for a quick fix.Some fix it was! Malam tu I tidur nyenyak..no more cramps. Alhamdulillah.So I pun started buat nasi impit, kuah kacang, satay goreng for raya.Everything was within reach.Bagus location apt Z ni.
Raya and solat raya was at the Kedutaan. We took a cab.Met Nani and family, Uncle Joe and Husni and family and Mariani and family (her dad got on well with Nik sebab sama2 orang Banggol).
Then we hosted a few guests: Uncle Joe came. Then Z's two friends (Cambridge alums..just completed their studies at Cambridge.One is doing a postdoc at Leiden). We had a good laugh cerita pasal pengalaman masing2. Uncle Joe ni dulu datang UK naik kapal. His dad was already a lawyer in 1911.When he died, he grew up in a big house alone with his amah. Dia tengah sedih cos' his best friend Pak Mat baru meninggal sehari sebelum raya di Msia. But we benefitted from his stories dari London ke Rotterdam. The two girls pun kelakar. Z told me one of them travel Europe sorang2. Then in one place found out that the room she thought was hers alone she had to share with another man! She said tak leh..she's a Muslim..tak leh share dgn lelaki. The man said I'm a Muslim too but we have different beds. Hadoi.Kesian dia.Nasib satu malam je. The other girl pulak dok cerita landlady dia yang control freak. Masak after 10 pm tak leh.Dah bulan puasa...Maghrib kan lambat? Kesian juga dengar cerita mrk ni.
Then we cabut pi Iceland which lived up to its name. Sejuk gila. But cantik gila also.
