Mek's humour

She is the funniest in the family and her witty remarks come oh! so naturally.Maybe that is why people love her so much...friends, families...but she can be so gutsy and fierce if you step on her sense of justice.

I remember the night I stayed over to look after her. She said it was the easiest night cos' she had to fast for the operation the following day so I need not worry about waking up at odd hours to make her a cup of Horlicks or oat drinks. But at 11 pm she had to drink her ubat to empty her stomach so that her bowel was clean for the operation. Luckily Sal was still around. The nurse said dah boleh minum (it was only 10.20 pm). Sal was about to help Mek to drink it but I said go and check with the nurse - maybe tersilap. Sal went and true enough, the nurse said tersilap after Sal showed the 11 pm sign.

When Sal came back and told us, we started laughing and said nasib baik we asked.Mek quickly said nasib baik mak kita hantar kita ke sekolah and we could read..then she said Terima Kasih Mok kerana menyekolahkan kami dan  jadikan kami cerdik. Sal and I just rolled on the floor laughing.

That's Mek. There are other funny stories.Too many to share.Yup, despite her illness.
May Allah give her more time with us (and us with her).
