Best oh.Tony Phua said parliament is tabling a bill to be passed on DNA next week.AUKU jatuh no. 3 selepas DNA bill ni tak silap I.But the meeting wants the bill (AUKU) to be postponed sebab legally, it's against the constitution (academics wanted it abolished tapi gomen nak pinda some things which would not help unis become centre of excellence) Masih byk grey lines that need to be ironed out, said some lawyers present at the meeting.I think Dr Azmi Sharom will write more on this in his column in the Star.He was one of the panelists tadi.Met another hero, Hashim Hussin Yaakob (not UM former VC)and heard an inspiring talk by Dato Zawawi (former VC of UNIMAS)

oh Dato' Zawawi was there? he was my vc when I was in Unimas. So which Hashim is this? where is he from? I tak pegi sebab ada nama tu, jokerlah dia tu, dia dulu yang marah uni rating sebab UM jatuh! So what's this DNA thing?
Tony Pua pun kata dia takut, ingatkan VC lama you.:) Anyway, the other Hashim Yaakob was mangsa AUKU.Dia kena tindakan disiplin, lost his job zaman AI (he's so sore with AI and the then VC).But dia tak la vulgar sangat (tak kutuk pun AI berlebih2 mcm setengah orang macam kena gila babi)Itu beza antara intelektual and a mere academic or a mere researcher, kan?
I am curious too abt DNA bill tu.Who mooted it? And what is it they wanna change?(when beribu2 bills lain they can work on) Tapi susahlah.Boleh dapat ke 2/3 nak pinda atau meminda? Kita tunggu dan lihat.
