That's how we wish each other at IIUM.Ramadan Kareem.Siapa yang nama Karim tu syok le. :))
The family has vowed to go slow on food this year.We went to our first food bazaar yesterday at Kelana Jaya.MasyaAllah...it was like a little Mekah! It put me off buying cos' it was too crowded (tak nampak apa benda pun).I ended up buying rendang Minang and sirap bandung cincau. We were trying to look for stall ikan bakar.Tak jumpa.Only after we had bought gulai kawah berkawah2 did we find it.By then we thought..eh eleh...
Iftar was at my in law's.I thought of my own mom, berbuka on her own (possibly with my nephew or other sister). We had offered her to stay with us, dia cakap dia nak mengaji lah, etc. Sigh.
Anyway, for those reading this, have a blessed Ramadan.Banyakkan ibadah. I already feel very old.Every morning I get up feeling the body does not belong to me anymore. I think we have to take care of what we eatlah.Am exercising more now.

Ramadhan Kareem indeed. So happy to be back and puasa in Malaysia, even though alone. Malas nak sibok2 rumah my sister and friends. Finally I got a phone call from an old friends's family. best giler makan, ikan tenggiri goreng, asam pedas tulang lembu, sayur petola, ikan bakar air asam, hemmmm pas magrib makan bubur kacang hijau, icecream strawberry dan air kelapa, terlentang babe! Selamat Berpuasa!
amboi zubinnnn...takda pun cerita pi teraweh! One of these days, jemput berbuka kat rumah (I will have a group of IIUM foreign students to iftar with us.Dtg masa tu le)
Conference tahun depan tu is on Imagined Communities (that's why we want Ben to come)We need you to help out sebab byk yang relevant (tak leh cerita here cos' IP.Nanti orang kapur idea kita!)
Ramadhan Kareem Dr Faridah and Bro Zubin.
I think this Ramadhan is going to be busier for me than last year with all those food-for-the poor distributions we are going to have during this holy month (sure extend sampai lepas Raya).
Puasa on the road.
But to see those faces smiling to receive food aid..hilang penat puasa (and lapar)...
by the way, kami ada work together with IIU students (Titian Asli club Censerve Team) by providing them with Ramadhan food packs to be distributed to orang asli di Sg Gapoi,Bentong next weekend (13th Sept)..Saya pergi ikut sekali kot...
Actually puasa ni ternampak-nampak sambal hitam asam belimbing..ishhh...lagi 2 jam nak berbuka! Heeee.....
drbubbles,
It feels good to see orang berlumba-lumba buat amal in Ramadan. My NGO is doing its bit for Baling women and hardcore poors around KL and PJ.Kak Mun is doing more than most of us.I just marvel at her energy (and yours).Gamaknya the more you do, the more God gives (in terms of kesihatan, energy, etc)
Teams in Censerve memang banyak buat humanitarian work.Baguslah you link up with them.Tell me what it is like berbuka dalam hutan. My sister used to visit the Penans and she pernah nampak teachers posted in the area makan bunga dengan kicap.
salam, hai tak kan sembahyang terawih pun nak kena declare to the world plak, ini macam kena declare party apa u pangkah, hehehehehe.
U think Apex uni tu ada kena mengena dengan BN movement. Tapi kadang2 these people lupa yang party and government to berbeza, government tu tetap je, party apa pun datang, hanya minister and undersecretary je tukar, lain sama je, kalau tidak habislah negara!
Zubin: hahaha..la ni musim semua buat SDs so declaration teraweh tu kena la buat juga. :))
Anyway, jgn marah.Saja nak mengusik.I pun buat teraweh kat rumah.Malas nak keluar. At my surau, depa pakai air con lepas tu tutup sliding door tu.Kalau ada org batuk ke selsema ke, senang berjangkit.I suka open space kalau semayang kat surau/mesjid.Macam kat Mekah le.Gitu.Masjid I kat Subang Jaya dulu macam tu.Open space.Recycled air tu I tak leh.Nanti selsema and batuk.
Anyway, nanti I bagi my friend's press statement on APEX uni. ni.I think it's something WE need to work on not something given.I think I am more concerned with grooming students who will do well in the global job market than just local job market.
Tapi USM punya scientists/docs I memang tabik. They are good, bro!
