This empty nest syndrome can do you a lot of things, you know.Of late, I have been glued to watching Hindi movies on dvds.
Whoa..Hindi movies have grown so much now..kalah Hollywood! You must watch these two movies : My name is Khan (I'm not a terrorist).Canggih habis! No more dances gedik2 or nyanyi keliling pokok. Shahrukh Khan tries to be the Indian Forrest Gump.Kadang2 menjadi,kadang2 over.Kajol is so pretty in this one. This one is so global, ada African American community, scenes with redneck mat salleh.It captures the present day racism and bigotry encountered by Muslims in the West.I like.
The second movie is the 3 idiots...another intelligent movie...but masih ada menari gedik2 (atas scooter and dalam tong deram somemore! Hahaha...I don't mind.For single women..hati2...byk male butt scenes in this movie). But don't show this movie to your kids if you have managed to convince them to do courses you like which they don't like.It might give them ideas (to follow their passion/heart.Hahaha.Nak sorok dari Z! Just kidding.Z made her own mind to switch from Law to Finance/Econs.We just highlighted the pros and cons)
Ah yes, another movie: homebred.'Pisau Cukur' by Bernice Chauly.Kelakar gila! Bernice is a real talent.Lama dah I tak jumpa dia.Must be doing very well as a movie maker.
Boiferen (Nik) ajak tengok Hugh Grant malam ni.I dah tak kuasa.Hugh Grant dah tua. :)

if u are into hindi movies now, u should watch all movies made in 1990s like Akele Hum Akele Tum (especially when the movies feature Aamir Khan). Walaupun kualiti tak macam sekarang, but the message really gets into ur heart.

akele hum akele tum means saya keseorangan kamu pun keseorangan (yes, i speak urdu but not fluently because when we were small kids, kami semua [sepupu-sepapat] tinggal satu rumah datuk: pakistani culture kan macam tu) so, saya terexpose to urdu =)

Urdu memang is a beautiful language. Saya pernah baca poem urdu sampai nak termenangis sebab the writer tu terror sgt manipulate the words..
cerita-cerita hindi mcm umrao jaan pun boleh dr tengok sebab language dia cantik sgt =)
hehe..saya under the radar je..dr kenal muka je kot, dh lama dah..tua dah pun.

btw, my name is khan tu best kan. selain tu saya suka mistres of spices, ramai orang kata boring tapi saya suka lebih2 lagi sejak beli buku masakkan india(passage thru' india). kebanyakkan spices yang disebut dalam buku tu disebut dalam movie tu jugak, tapi dalam movie kononnya all those spices ada magic for example:
Sandalwood - to erase painful memory
Kalo Jeera(black cumin seeds) - protect against the evil eye
Cinnamon - making friends
Tulsi(basil) - for remembrance
Mustard seeds - to send somone away from you
Asafoetida - an antidote for love
Meethi(fenugreek) - for strength
Saffron - to attract love(heheh)
Nanti cuba cari DVD/VCD - Billu Barber.Irfan Khan and SRK. Best juga ceritanya.
Funny and glitzy ones - Om Shanti. Dalam tu semua Hindi Stars ada.Abe Mithun, Zeenat Aman, Raj Kapoor (dia sue SRK sebab dok ajuk style tutup muka..funny scene). Anak Prakash Padukone jadi heroine. Lawwwaaaaa.
I dok cari L.O.C Kargil tapi tak jumpa. War history punya movie.
Amboi kaorang...bila sebut bab wayang, macam air responsesnya!Hahah.Rupa2nya I dah rugi byk tak nonton wayang esp Hindi movies.Thks for all suggestions.Tak siap la theses budak, dah teachernya dok sibuk nonton dvd! :)
Lady: budak BENL sejak azali pelik2perangainya.Tapi tanpa mereka, dunia ni macam filem Hindi dalam hitam putih.Bagus juga cerita Mistress of Spice you tu.I nak carilah.
