Back at work

Everyone is invited to our event on 8th Oct at 8 pm, CAC, IIUM.Admission is free (tickets by donation) and the prog. book will be sold at RM3.Almost like free, kan? Sedekah sebab kita tau students bukan golongan berada.Some.

Lepas tu I'm off to Penang.Work, work, work. I should be grateful there's employment for me.

Satu lagi berita kelakar: my good friend of Liverpool days, Dr. Zairi Jaal, will be my chairperson for my session in Penang (dia tu pakar nyamuk.Apo dibuetnyo kat the conference I'm at?).I rang him up.He's in KL, balik sama hari I pi Penang but he drives, I fly.Dia cakap ada lagi restoran Minang yang I tak tau di Penang tu.Set!Also I nak cari mak Sharifah in Air Itam.Nak pi beraya.Dah berpuluh tahun tak jumpa. She makes nice sambal.Sharifah was my flatmate in NZ.Her mom came to stay with us for some months and cooked for us.Tak boleh lupa.Sherry is still in NZ, married to a mat salleh.

It was a fantastic evening.Thank you all for your support and positive comments. We had fun too.Terangkat habis dengar budak2 German tu.Raihan pun datang! (they came late so I didn't get to greet them.Tempat we reserved for them pun dah diambik orang but they sat at DBKL's seats.I must call Tok Ak..Ishak Haji Muda, conductor of DBKL orchaestra.Apa pasal tak datang.I feel guilty sebab dia dah bagi kita pinjam music stands DBKL when I rang him.I will give Tan's cd to him tanda hormat kebaikan dia.Was too busy to call him up personally.Masa nak barang pandai pulak call ya? Sigh)Tan gave me his cd.Sayang juga nak bagi but Tok Ak has been too kind.I buat copy siap2 le.Prof Radenmacher pun nak bagi tapi I kata dah ada...rugi tak ambik!)

We had over 1000 people at the concert.Orang luar pun ramai.

Not a bad exposure for those who have never been to a concert of this kind (ie. more uppity than say... konsert Sure Heboh!). Brought my niece for the exposure too. She said it was 'inspiring'. I didn't ask what she meant--- inspired to listen more to baroque? I don't particularly like baroqu; preferring something more lively. I was quite impressed by the presence of many young people.

Well done!

Sorry I didn't get to meet up with you (dah reserved seats kat sofa tu for you and Dato tapi dah diambik orang..I was busy waiting for Datuk Noripah who arrived late.Dah janji I'd wait for her at the door).

Thanks for coming. Some students came with headache (maklum nak exam)One said the music cured his headache.I have heard of music being therapeutic.I loved that 'funeral' piece.Rasa hanyut....

2 buses of primary sch kids came (they were from our sekolah angkat) Well behaved, kan? Best cluster sch. in Msia.I dok takut depa buat bising.
