Swedish midsummer celebration

Today is the official date of Swedish summer (writing this on 20/6/14).They will break for 5-week holiday and midsummer day is sometimes more important than Xmas itself (the celebration goes back to ancient days. It's a public holiday and by the sound of it, it has elements of thanksgiving, valentine's day and a bit of Xmas as people rush to the countryside or home to be with families and loved ones doing outdoor activities).Padan le lenggang je Stockholm except for visitors like us. We were advised to catch the festivities at Skansen. We did.And we had fun.Mcm2 ada kat situ.A nice time out with the family. It's part of the tradition to make your own garlands letak kat kepala.Z and I cuba buat ours but tak jadi.So kita pinjam garland from this lady dan ambik gambar.Ramai Swedes duduk berpicnic.Mmg rasa meriah. We took part in the folk dancing with everyone who was there.
