More cousins emerging

Raya day 4.

It is only during the raya period that you'd know that you have so many long lost relatives, yah? Today, Zam of London visited my mom's.We'll definitely look him up soon.And his other cousin is a chef in Ireland.Woohoo..tiba2 kita jadi international. :))

Last nite we went beraya at 11 pm.My friend ni used to work at Esso.Her home..so green.Loved it! We had a nice conversation over coffee on cross-culturalism at workplace ( her area of expertise).

Two LinkedIn messages which made me so happy... One of the two came from a famous film producer kat US who wrote to say he'd be happy to participate at the Islamic Film Fest I'm helping to host next August.Mat Salleh masuk Islam ni juga seorang poet.I pray to God, He would make things easy for us.Sapa2 nak tolong jadi volunteer esp. IIUM alums can beep me.We will need all the help in the world.

Z is busy getting ready for her new life in Sheffield.Dalam kesibukan nak siapkan itu ini, she kaypoh with her Sabah project (McKinsey presentation is a day before her flight to the UK - kalau menang dapat iPad) and there's a separate activity (a competition) she and friends masuk and now shortlisted as top 24 out of 250 teams - the final will be held at INTAN on Sept 7-9.Kalau menang dapat RM4K.Tajuknya to do with public policy.Apalah budak2 mentah ni tau..haha ( they are competing with uni students) but I have to salute their kiasu spiritlah.Megat and Amir will be going to LSE and Rachel got Cambridge.Suka kan nengok budak2 muda ni so active and so kiasu.Who says the country is swamped by low quality young minds and that our education system sucks? If you have time, listen to the young voices on Sept 7-9.
